On the coast between Palamos and Calella, just before crossing the Red Cap, is the corner that forms Creek Massoni. There lies the popularly known as "the Russian bath." This is the name that the people of the region know this place and gradually has been replaced by the name of life.
The year was 1927 when Woevodsky settled in Costa Brava not yet known tourism. The couple fell in love with Cabo Roig land, close to Calella de Palafrugell. The marriage was formed by Nicholas Woevodsky, a colonel who fled Czarist Russia before the revolution and his wife Dorothy Webster, an English aristocrat fan decoration and antiques. Both married remarried, after fleeing London talked separations.
The couple built a castle in this wild place, near the sea and full of cliffs. Nicholas and Dorothy became Cap Roig in the work of his life. In fact the project, in addition to housing, told with the development of a large area which was a splendid botanical koi fish garden. The Woevodsky never got to live in the castle, the works that were extended over thirty years due to its high cost, the economic koi fish difficulties and the Spanish Civil War.
