Hermit in Siberia get food by helicopter - HLN.be narciso
A 68-year-old Russian woman who lives in a remote part of Siberia, gets the local government by helicopter food and tools for the winter to come. The woman asked in a letter to the local newspaper for help, RIA Novosti news agency reported today. It is according to the newspaper a miracle that her letter has arrived at all. The old lady is the last of her family who lived isolated in the woods. In 1978 the family was "discovered" by a group of scientists, narciso the woman was 33 years old. The woman wrote that her health was deteriorating and that they therefore could not prepare for the winter. In the region where they live in the south of Russia is the average temperature in winter minus 19 degrees. Following the letter, the government sends the nearest narciso city of Kemerovo a helicopter with food, rope, 20 bales of hay and other tools from the cold. The woman lives 120 miles away from the city in the impassable narciso forests of the taiga.
